Bluetooth disabled: Fitbit syncs via Bluetooth.
Fitbit app outdated: Older versions may have sync bugs.
Device too far from phone: Bluetooth has a limited range.
Battery low: Low battery on your Fitbit can prevent syncing.
Background app refresh disabled: The Fitbit app needs to run in the background.

• Wait up to 30 seconds for the sync to complete.
• For Fitbit watches: Press and hold the button(s) for 10 seconds until you see the logo.
• For trackers: Plug into the charger and hold the button for 10 seconds.
• Try syncing again after restart.
• Power off your phone completely.

• Restart both your phone and Fitbit.
• Re-add the device through the Fitbit app.
• Go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Update the Fitbit app to the latest version.
• Open the app and try syncing.
If syncing still doesn't work, contact Fitbit support at help.fitbit.com or through the Fitbit app's Help section.
Q: Will I lose my data if my Fitbit doesn't sync?
A: Fitbit devices store data locally for several days. Once you successfully sync, all stored data will transfer. Don't factory reset your device before syncing.
Q: How often should my Fitbit sync?
A: Fitbit should sync automatically throughout the day when your phone is nearby with Bluetooth on. You can also manually sync by opening the app.
Q: Can I sync Fitbit with multiple phones?
A: Your Fitbit can only be connected to one account and one primary phone at a time. Switching phones requires setting up the device again.
Q: Why does my Fitbit sync with my phone but not show updated data?
A: The app may need to refresh. Pull down on the dashboard, or close and reopen the app. Also check that you're viewing today's data and not a previous day.
