Your camera may not work during Microsoft Teams video calls or meetings. You might see a black screen, a frozen image, or Teams may not detect your camera at all. This can prevent you from joining video calls for work or school.
Camera permissions denied: Teams may not have permission to access your camera.
Camera in use by another app: Another application might be using the camera simultaneously.
Wrong camera selected: Teams may be trying to use a different camera than expected.
Outdated camera drivers: Your camera drivers may need updating.
Teams app issues: The Teams app itself may have a bug or corrupted installation.

Q: Why does my camera work in other apps but not Teams?
A: Teams may not have the correct camera selected or may not have camera permissions. Check Teams Settings > Devices and your system's privacy settings.
Q: Can I use my phone camera for Teams meetings on PC?
A: Yes, you can join the meeting from the Teams mobile app and use your phone's camera. You can also use third-party apps like DroidCam to use your phone as a webcam.
Q: Why is my Teams camera showing a black screen?
A: This is usually a driver issue. Try updating your camera drivers. Also check if there's a physical camera cover or switch on your laptop that might be blocking the camera.
Q: Does Teams support virtual backgrounds without a camera?
A: No, you need a working camera to use virtual backgrounds. However, you can join meetings with audio only if your camera isn't working.
