Find difference between two dates in days, months, and years.
The Date Difference Calculator finds the exact number of days between any two dates. It handles varying month lengths (February has 28 or 29 days), leap years, and the difference between calendar days (all days) and business days (excluding weekends). Common uses: calculating project deadlines, determining how many days until an event, computing contract durations, checking legal response periods, and tracking subscription renewals. The calendar-day count is straightforward; business-day count excludes Saturdays and Sundays.
By convention, this calculator counts the gap between dates (exclusive of both endpoints). January 1 to January 3 = 2 days. If you need inclusive counting (e.g. for a booking that includes check-in and check-out days), add 1 to the result.
Calendar days include all 7 days of the week. Business days exclude Saturdays and Sundays (and optionally public holidays). SLA deadlines, legal response periods, and project sprint planning typically use business days.
Enter today's date in A and your target date in B. Or add the number of calendar days to today's date — the result is your deadline date.
