How This Tool Works

The Weather Checker provides current weather conditions and a short forecast for any city. Enter a location and get the current temperature, weather condition, humidity, and wind speed. This is a quick reference tool for checking weather before planning outdoor activities, travel decisions, or understanding current conditions in a remote location.

How to Use

  1. Enter the city name in field A (e.g. London, Mumbai, New York).
  2. Click Run. Current weather conditions are displayed.
  3. For more detailed forecasts and hourly breakdowns, use a dedicated weather service.
  4. If the city name is ambiguous, add the country code (e.g. London, UK vs London, Ontario, CA).

Common Questions

Why does this differ from my local weather app?

Weather data comes from different sources and observation stations. Hyperlocal conditions (your specific neighbourhood vs the airport observation station) can differ by several degrees in temperature and vary in precipitation.

What is humidity and what percentage is comfortable?

Relative humidity is the amount of water vapour in the air as a percentage of the maximum it can hold at that temperature. 30–60% is generally comfortable indoors. Above 60% feels humid and sticky; below 30% causes dry skin and static.

What does 'feels like' temperature mean?

Feels-like (apparent temperature) accounts for how temperature interacts with humidity and wind. High humidity makes hot temperatures feel hotter (heat index). Wind chill makes cold temperatures feel colder. Feels-like is often more relevant to comfort than the actual air temperature.
